Finally came the day when Mette became a student. Hurray, hurray.
As written in a previous newsletter, the school system considered until the end how the end should take place due to. COVID19 restrictions which did not allow the normal celebration of students. Brunswich High School, therefore allowed only the immediate family members to participate in the handing out of diplomas. All students were divided into groups by surname and assigned a time window in which it was possible to hand in books, be handed a diploma. A few photos also quickly out the door.
Fortunately, there was a group of parents who were incredibly creative and had planned a student drive in the evening through Brunswick. The route was taken care of by our local fire brigade and the rest of us followed in a snaking drive through the city, but not by horse-drawn carriage.
