Lise and I fighting in the annual Remember 11 September motorcykel tur (9/11 Memorial ride) from Washington Dulles airport to the Pentagon. The tour is in many ways a very emotional trip, as it is a commemoration of those who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on 11 September 2001. The weather was fine, so it was a nice opportunity for us to spend some hours with partly my MC friends, but also with each other.
We had early home when our venue (Dulles Expo center) Located an hour from Point of Rocks. Then we went as a group to the airport, where we are in the groups being closed in on the airport premises, from where we drive to the air and space museum which is the starting point of the tour. Here there will be held a midetale of the fallen before start, and police motorcycle display teams display their skills on motorcycles.
Desuden åbner de for air and space museum så vi har mulighed for gratis at gå rundt i en lille time og se på fly udstillingen inden vi kl. 10:30 starter turen, where we in groups of 30 motorcycles leave the airport and in a flock is running a determined trips to the Pentagon. Police have previously blocked all roads, so if you are not on 2 hjul er men ikke velkommen 🙂
The tour ends at the Pentagon's 11 September monument to the fallen, where we spent a half-hour before Lisa and I begin the trip back home against Point of Rocks. Below some pictures of our trip.
